Karly transitioned to a farmhand role in a stud, once finishing her time as a Vet Nurse, this was the start of Karly’s passion for the Agriculture industry.

In her role as a Farm hand, Karly was able to demonstrate her hands–on expertise with cattle and horses, where she proficiently carried out all farm duties, including mustering, branding, vaccinating, drenching, tagging, earmarking, castrating, and operating small tractors. Karly is proficient with mustering using various methods such as bike, quad, and buggy and she’s eager to tackle mustering by horse again if given the opportunity. Karly also has sheep experience including drafting, vaccinating, drenching, and lamb marking.

Karly excels in property improvement, adept at repairing and installing water infrastructure like tanks, troughs, and poly pipe fittings. Additionally, Karly is skilled in fencing, capable of installing new fences or repairs in barb, plain, ring lock, or mesh, and installing both wooden and steel posts and end assemblies. Karly also has welding fabrication skills, proficient with a mig, stick, and oxy weld.

Her mechanical aptitude is honed through the recent completion of her mechanical trade, making her an invaluable asset for maintaining and servicing machinery. With experience in operating heavy equipment like dozers, graders, excavators, loaders, and forklifts, Karly is well–equipped to handle diverse farm tasks.
