What happens when you have a young girl who sets her heart on being a Station Hand from a young age despite not having a rural upbringing? You get dogged determination and a will to do it!
Young Becky may not have the traditional station upbringing, but she’s pure country through and through. She works part time in retail during the week, and spends every spare day she can on a cattle property that she was lucky enough to do work experience on several years ago. She also does child minding in her spare time and still manages to find time to ride her horse. All while completing year 12!
This girl knows how to time manage and knows that hard work pays off. In her interview notes it has been written – “Will be an asset to anywhere she applies to. The perfect 1st year applicant for anything rural. Done the background work and ready to get in to it. Bright bubbly, friendly and enthusiastic. Realises she has lots to learn, but keen to do so and is ticking all the boxes.” I think that pretty much sums Becky up perfectly!
