Jason has an extensive background in the ag industry, from managing cattle stations, running his own contract fencing business, managing his own cattle herd, to becoming a workplace trainer in Conservation & Land Management, Mining & Constructions industries. Jason also spent time in the US as a horse trainer.
Jason is a highly capable Stockman. He has worked from the ground up to build his extensive portfolio of experience. Anything cattle related, Jason has the experience, whether it is mustering, tailing weaners, yard processing or breeder selection. Jason’s skillset also extends to fencing, welding and water management. Running his own rural contracting business has seen Jason spend countless hours building new fences, installing & maintaining many new water infrastructures (troughs, bores, pumps) and refining his skills with a welder, and even becoming certified in poly welding.
Jason has plenty of experience in the earthmoving and mining sectors also. From Dump truck operations through to dozers, excavators, graders, loaders, rollers, bobcats, backhoes, telehandlers and even having his Crane truck ticket. A part of Jason’s workplace training job has been upskilling various employees in these machines.
Jason comes with the following certifications – Chem Cert, Cert IV Agriculture, Rural Leaders DPI Program, First Aid, Pit Dewatering, QLD Blue Card, Introduction to Financial Accounting & Marketing Certs and Certificate III in Conservation & Ecosystem Management.
