5. Dylan

Dylan is looking for somewhere he can really develop his skills as a Senior Station Hand. He has experience with both sheep and cattle and is competent in all aspects of handling and husbandry practices. He is able to muster stock using horses, bikes, buggies, and with the use of his working dogs. Dylan has also spent some time working in sheep feedlot intensively feeding lambs.

Dylan has operated various tractors (up to 200HP), an excavator, loader, telehandler and bobcat. He can competently service bikes, small motors and vehicles and maintain machinery. He most recently replaced the radiator in his tractor and is happy to further his skills mechanically. Dylan can competently perform other aspects of station maintenance and management such as fencing (repairs and new fences, yard building, end assemblies), maintaining waters with experience pulling bores, maintaining solar and diesel pumps, as well as install and repair tanks, troughs and poly pipe/fittings.

Dylan is a handy fabricator, having experience working for a metal fabrication company. He can use a stick, mig and cut/weld oxy. He has previously built dog boxes, grain and hay feeders with his oxy skills. Dylan also has his Firearms Licence, White Card, Low Stress Stock Handling Cert and Certificate IV in Agriculture. He also has experience using Agriwebb and currently uses it on a daily basis.

Dylan’s references recommend him, with some saying, “I would love to say anything I can to sway you away as I don’t want to lose him but he is fantastic. He is very competent in sheep and cattle work.” And, “He was good and did all the jobs he was asked to, has a good work ethic and attitude.”
