NSW

Full-Time

Sarah is a young and keen Station Hand looking for her next role she can sink her teeth into. She has experience working with both sheep and cattle. She is confident mustering, drafting, castrating, dehorning, vaccinating, drenching, branding, lamb marking and even shearing the odd sheep. Sarah has no problems riding two-wheel bikes, quad bikes and side by sides. She has also been horse riding for the last 9 months. Whilst she didn’t grow up riding horses, she is competent with riding to perform mustering tasks. Sarah has also been using her two working dogs to perform her current station duties.

Sarah also has a bit of machinery experience, with operating tractors up to 200HP (with feed out carts attached), a backhoe and skid steer. Sarah completed two harvest seasons operating the chaser bin.

She has some mechanical aptitude, being able to service vehicles and bikes, perform pre start checks and has no problem changing a tyre. Sarah is also capable of performing other station duties, including water monitoring & maintenance, fencing and welding repairs. She has done basic repairs and maintenance with both a stick and mig welder. She has a fairly strong fencing ability, being able to build new fences, put in end assemblies, gates etc.

Sarah’s references describe her as, “She picks things up fairly quickly and is open to feedback and advice.” And also, “She is very easy to communicate with.”
