Amy grew up with a love for rural Australia and it seemed an obvious progression for her to seek a career in agriculture. Prior to starting a family, Amy completed a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Production Animal Science at UQ in Gatton. She then worked in a variety of roles in the corporate feedlot industry, before finally becoming the Manager for a small family-owned intensive beef and cropping operation in the Southern Downs.
